Information for Contributors Cancer Cell Go back to our HomepageGeneral Given the diverse interests of members of the cancer community, authors should strive to make the text and figures as clear and as broadly accessible as possible, spelling out relevance and implications for basic, translational, and clinical oncologists. Adherence to this guideline will increase the likelihood that editors and reviewers will deem the manuscript appropriate for Cancer Cell and will decrease the time to publication upon acceptance. Submission Authors are invited to list the names of 3-6 potential reviewers whom they believe can provide an expert and impartial critique of the work. The editors will also consider requests to exclude one or two potential referees who might have difficulty rendering an unbiased opinion. Copies of closely related papers in press or submitted elsewhere must accompany the manuscript before it will be considered for publication. Under no circumstances will any paper be considered that contains any data that have been or will be submitted for publication elsewhere (including symposium volumes). Revised manuscripts will be reconsidered only if resubmitted within eight weeks of the date of the original decision. For submissions that are not published, only available figures will be returned to authors. Online Submission Cancer Cell encourages authors to submit manuscripts for online peer review at http://www.editorialmanager.com/cc/. Authors who are submitting a manuscript online for the first time should read the Author Tutorial for Editorial Manager. Supported file types for online submission include Word, WordPerfect, RTF, TXT, TIFF, GIF, JPEG, EPS, Postscript, and PDF. Please do not submit Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator files to Cancer Cell for review purposes, as Editorial Manager does not support these file types. Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator files are only acceptable when the final manuscript is submitted for publication. Required items differ for each article type and are specified during the uploading of files for review. Please note, abstracts need to be submitted as text files separate from the body of the manuscript as well as within the manuscript file. Research Papers |
